Harvested in May, Emerald Spring comes from Hubei, China the birthplace of the steaming process most commonly used to produce Japanese green tea. It is steamed and pan-fired and highlights flavors from both processes. The flavor is sweet and vibrant, with a buttery, nuttiness. Brewing with a lower water temperature will decrease the astringency and bitterness, accentuating the sweetness of the tea.

GREEN TEA BREWING GUIDE

  1. Preheat the teapot with hot water.
  2. Empty preheating water.
  3. Add 7g (2-3 tsp.) of green tea.
  4. Add 180ºF water to the 400ml mark.
  5. Steep for 3 minutes.
  6. Pour into cup or preheated serving pitcher.
