An exceptionally sweet, powdered green tea due to a several week shading process. It was carefully stone-ground to preserve the delicate aroma and flavor. It features fresh flavors of sakura blossom, berry, and wild herbs. Our Organic Matcha can be served as usucha (thin tea), over ice, or blended with steamed milk to create a green tea latte.

ICED MATCHA LATTE GUIDE

YOU WILL NEED

  • 4 grams of Kilogram Organic Matcha
  • Fine mesh wire strainer (for sifting)
  • 2 oz of 175°F water
  • Small whisk
  • Cocktail shaker
  • ¾ oz of simple syrup
  • 8 oz of Oatly Barista Edition Oat Milk
  • 3 oz ice

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Sift the matcha into the cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the 175°F water and whisk for 10 seconds.
  3. Add the ice, oat milk, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously until cold and frothy.
  5. Serve in a pint glass.

HOT MATCHA LATTE GUIDE

YOU WILL NEED

  • 2.5 grams of Kilogram Organic Matcha
  • Wire strainer (for sifting)
  • 1 oz of 175°F water
  • Small whisk or fork
  • 10 grams or more of simple syrup
  • 8 oz latte cup
  • 12 oz milk steaming pitcher
  • 4-5 oz of milk or soy milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Sift the matcha into the bottom of the latte cup.
  2. Pour the hot water over the tea and whisk for 10 seconds, or until well-blended.
  3. Mix in simple syrup to taste (reduce amount for soy milk).
  4. Steam the milk or soy milk for a latte.
  5. Pour through the matcha, creating latte art (tulips provide the best contrast).
