Red Jade was harvested fall 2018 in Nantou, Taiwan from a unique cultivar that was developed by breeding Irrawaddy sinensis from Burma with a native Taiwanese Camellia sinensis bush. Through careful processing, the resulting black tea has almost unheard of flavors of clove, cinnamon, and wintergreen.
Steep 4-6 grams of tea in a gaiwan with water off the boil for 20-30 seconds. Due to its unusual strength, Red Jade can be steeped many times. Increase subsequent infusion times by 5-10 seconds per infusion.
