Organic English Breakfast
Harvested in late summer, our English Breakfast was blended with intention of being great with a bit of milk and sugar, as well as on its own. The slow growth of several Yunnan cultivars at roughly 1850 masl develops sweet malty flavors, accented with notes of caramelized sugar, baking spices, and cocoa. For a 12 ounce pot, steep 5 or 6 grams for 3-5 minutes in water off the boil. If adding milk or sugar, try increasing the amount of tea by a gram or two.
Brew Instructions:
Preheat 400 ml of hot water to 210°F. Measure out 7g or 2-3 tsp of tea. Empty the preheated water then add the tea leaves. Fill the teapot to the 400ml mark with the hot water and set a timer for 3-5 minutes. Start the timer, steep closer to 5 minutes for full-bodied flavor. When the time is up, pour the tea into a cup or decant into a serving pitcher to prevent the tea from over steeping. Enjoy!
