This is a lightly-steamed (asamushi), early spring harvested green tea from Shizuoka, Japan. It was harvested during the very beginning of the first harvest, and it directly reflects the quality of this year's crop. It is Yabukita cultivar, and has a bittersweet flavor with complex notes of sesame, green vegetable, and dandelion greens.
In a 400 ml kyusu, steep 8 grams for 60-75 seconds in 150-160°F water.For more complexity increase the water temperature to 165-170°F.
