Early Spring Jade Dew
Yulu or Jade Dew is thought to be the tea that inspired the Japanese tea gyokuro, as well as being the first green tea to incorporate steaming into its processing. Our Jade Dew comes from the Hubei, the province in China, that created this tea style that was the precursor to countless styles of green tea.
Its flavor reflects two different firing styles, steaming and pan-firing, which make this tea unique. It is savory with with a flavor that is simultaneously nutty like a pan-fired tea, but also fresh, and green like a steamed tea.
