Organic Early Spring Green Needles 1.75 oz Box
This is an March 2018 harvested, pan-fired tea from Hubei, China that attributes much of its flavor to the Long Jing #43 cultivar. Grown at high elevation it produces a particularly umami cup similar to a Japanese green tea, but with a delicate roasted flavor akin to chestnut. Like many Hubei teas it has a piney flavor with lots of depth.
Prepare by using 8 grams of tea in a 400ml teapot. Steep using 180°F water for 3-4 minutes. Alternately, steep 4 grams in a gaiwan with 180°F water for 90 seconds. Infuse a second time for 60 seconds and a third for 2 minutes.
